Be the human who makes the trip work.

A Byline concierge is a certified, insured travel professional who travelers book by the day. Some execute whole trips alongside their clients; others run on-the-ground days in the city they know best; others plan every detail of a trip remotely before departure. Your job on every booking: ensure traveler success and relaxation. We handle vetting, registration, and insurance.

Travel Concierge

  • Multi-city itineraries — typically 4–10 days per booking

  • Optional driving for licensed concierges
  • Bookings from travelers, groups, and creator-led tours

Planning Concierge

Plan every detail before they ever pack.

Work with travelers ahead of departure to plan every detail of their trip — route, stays, reservations, and pacing. Planners hold an independent certification, so you can plan exclusively or pair it with the Travel or Local Concierge role.

  • Independent planner certification
  • Fully remote — plan from anywhere
  • Option to continue as the trip’s Travel Concierge

How to get started

From application to your first daily booking in four steps.

1

Apply

Tell us about your experience, languages, the city or region you serve, and the services you want to offer. About 15 minutes.

2

Get certified

Complete the Byline certification course online and finish any local registration we help you with.

3

Set your profile

Choose your services, set your daily rate, list your languages, and pick the schedule and trip types you accept. Byline only matches you against bookings that fit.

4

Start receiving bookings

Once certified, Byline matches you against bookings that fit your profile — services, languages, schedule, and city.

Your profile is your control panel

Byline only matches you against bookings that fit what you've set.

Schedule

Block off-season, set weekly availability, and decide how far ahead you accept bookings. Byline only proposes bookings that fit.

Skills

List the things you're great at — families, accessibility, nightlife, luxury logistics. Byline weights skills heavily when matching.

Languages

Add every language you can support fluently. Specialty languages (Japanese, Arabic, Portuguese) match faster and pay more.

Services

Pick which services you offer from the full menu. You don't have to do everything — choose what you're great at and Byline matches accordingly.

How concierges get paid

All bookings are daily. You set your daily rate, and Byline matches you to bookings that fit. No piecework, no per-service price lists.

Daily rate, set by you

You pick a daily rate that reflects your skills, languages, and credentials. Byline shows you market-rate guidance during onboarding so you don't have to guess.

Travel stipend (Travel Concierges)

On top of your daily rate, travel concierges receive a stipend that covers travel with the group — flights, ground transfer, lodging where required, and per-diem.

Tips & repeat-client bonuses

Travelers can tip on every booking. Concierges with 5+ repeat bookings from the same client unlock a repeat-client bonus on each subsequent engagement.

Fees & payouts

Byline takes a small platform fee on each booking — the exact rate is shared during onboarding. It covers matching, payment processing, certification, ongoing support, and the registration & insurance assistance we provide.

Payouts run weekly for completed bookings. Tips and repeat-client bonuses are paid on the same cadence.

Frequently asked

How long does the application take?▾

About 15 minutes. We ask about your experience, languages, the city or region you serve, and the services you want to offer.

Do I need a licence or certification?▾

Yes — you complete Byline certification before travelers can find you (identity, background check, interview, Platform Agreement and Code of Conduct, and insurance at our marketplace minimums). If you want to drive guests yourself, you also need whatever licence your country requires for that work.

How does the daily booking model work?▾

All bookings are daily. Travel concierges work defined hours per booking day plus a separate travel stipend that covers travel with the group. Local concierges are booked by the day in their home city. Your duty on every booking is to ensure traveler success and relaxation.

What's the Byline standard?▾

Travelers rate concierges on every booking. Concierges with a rolling average of 4.7 or higher keep getting matched. Below that, Byline retrains and re-evaluates. Three concerning reviews on a single booking can also trigger an immediate review.

When do I get paid?▾

Payouts run weekly for completed daily bookings. Tips, repeat-client bonuses, and the travel stipend follow the same cadence.

Can I work for other platforms at the same time?▾

Yes. Byline doesn't require exclusivity. You can keep your own bookings, work with other platforms, or do both — as long as you maintain the Byline standard on the bookings you accept from us.

Power creator-led trips

Many of our most reliable bookings come from influencer-led journeys and freelance guide-led tours. If you love being behind-the-scenes ops for creators, tell us in your application.
