Getting in

• Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport: This is the nearest airport, in the Pontecagnano area, but it is not a city-centre airport with a useful rail link to Montecorvino Pugliano. Take a taxi or pre-arranged transfer: roughly 15–25 minutes to the Pugliano municipal seat, depending on the exact hamlet, and about €25–40. A rental car is the sensible choice if you are staying here rather than merely passing through.
• Naples International Airport: For Montecorvino Pugliano itself, the good transfer is a rental car or pre-booked driver: roughly 60–90 minutes, traffic permitting. Without a car, take the Alibus to Napoli Centrale, a train to Salerno, then a taxi for the final 25–35 minutes; allow at least 2–2½ hours door to door. Do not assume there is a direct airport bus to “Pugliano” — search results commonly confuse this Campania comune with Polignano a Mare in Puglia.
• Salerno railway station: Salerno is the useful mainline station for arrivals from Naples, Rome and the south. From there, take a taxi or collect a rental car; Montecorvino Pugliano is a dispersed municipality rather than a walkable town beside the station, so the last leg is typically 25–35 minutes and roughly €30–50 by taxi.
