Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport: Baggiovara has no airport. The sensible public-transport route is the Marconi Express (about 7 minutes) or the cheaper Q airport bus (roughly 25–30 minutes) to Bologna Centrale, then a regional train to Modena (about 25–35 minutes), then a SETA bus or taxi to Baggiovara. Allow 1¼–1¾ hours door to door and roughly €10–20 before the final local leg. Do not pay for an airport ‘city transfer’ marketed as if Baggiovara were a destination: it is a Modena suburb, and a direct taxi is usually poor value.
Modena railway station: This is the useful rail arrival point for Baggiovara. From the station, take a SETA urban bus toward Baggiovara Ospedale—line 9 is the usual corridor to check—or use a taxi. Expect about 25–40 minutes by bus depending on traffic, or 15–20 minutes by taxi; budget roughly €2 for a local ticket or about €20–30 by taxi. Check the live SETA timetable: hospital and suburban frequencies are not metropolitan.
Bologna Centrale railway station: For travellers arriving on high-speed trains, change here for a regional train to Modena rather than taking a costly private transfer. The rail leg is around 25–35 minutes; the full onward trip to Baggiovara, including the Modena transfer, is usually 60–90 minutes.
