Getting in
- King Shaka International Airport, Durban: The sensible transfer is a pre-booked rental car or private shuttle, not an attempt to piece together local buses. Port Edward is roughly 200 km south: allow about 3½–4½ hours via the N2 and R61, longer on Friday afternoons, holiday weekends and in rain. Rent before landing; there is no useful rail link into Port Edward. Shuttle pricing varies sharply by passenger count, so get a written quote rather than trusting an online ‘from’ fare.
