Tampa International Airport: For most visitors, take Uber/Lyft or a rental car straight to your hotel: roughly 35–55 minutes when traffic behaves, commonly about $45–75 by rideshare before surge. The cheap option is PSTA’s 727 express toward downtown St. Petersburg, then a beach-bound PSTA connection; it is workable for a very light pack but usually takes 90 minutes or more and is not the smart arrival transfer after a flight.
St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport: This is geographically closer, but it is not a direct beach-airport setup. Use Uber/Lyft or a taxi for the roughly 25–40-minute run to St. Pete Beach, typically around $25–50 before surge. Public buses exist through PSTA but require connections and are poor value in time with bags.
