Charlottesville–Albemarle Airport: The sensible transfer to Pantops is a rental car or pre-booked rideshare/taxi; there is no airport public transit. Expect roughly 15–20 minutes in normal traffic and about US$25–40 by rideshare/taxi, or rent at the airport if Monticello, wineries, Skyline Drive, or other Albemarle County stops are on the plan.
Charlottesville Union Station (Amtrak): Amtrak’s Northeast Regional, Crescent, and the three-times-weekly Cardinal stop here. For Pantops, take a rideshare/taxi: roughly 10–15 minutes and US$15–25. The station is useful for downtown and UVA, but it is not walkable to most Pantops hotels, shops, or medical offices with luggage.
Washington Dulles International Airport: Use the daily Virginia Breeze coach to Charlottesville rather than paying for a 100-mile private ride; allow roughly 2½–3 hours to Charlottesville, then another 10–15 minutes by rideshare/taxi to Pantops. Fares vary by departure, but budget roughly US$30–45 for the coach plus the local ride. A rental car from Dulles only makes sense if flight timing defeats the bus or you are building a wider Virginia road trip.
