Charlotte Douglas International Airport: Skip the airport taxi queue unless you are splitting it. CATS Sprinter Route 5 runs to Uptown for about $2.20; allow roughly 25–35 minutes, longer in traffic. A taxi to Uptown has a regulated $25 flat fare for one or two passengers; rideshare can be sensible for a group but is not automatically cheaper.
Charlotte Amtrak Station (North Tryon Street): The Carolinian and Piedmont connect Charlotte with Raleigh, with the Carolinian continuing to New York; the Crescent also stops here, at awkward late-night hours. Do not walk from the station: take CATS Route 11 to Uptown (roughly 20–30 minutes) or arrange a rideshare/taxi before arrival. The immediate area is not a visitor neighborhood.
